Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 30, 2026
Twitch to Youtube Archive (“the application”) is a personal tool operated by its owner (“I”, “me”). It records a Twitch broadcast and uploads the finished video to my own YouTube channel. This policy explains what data the application accesses and how it is handled.
1. Information the application accesses
When I authorize the application with my Google account, it receives an OAuth access token and refresh token that allow it to upload videos to my YouTube channel. The application requests only the YouTube permissions it needs to upload a video and confirm that the upload completed.
The application also processes video and audio from a public Twitch broadcast, together with its public metadata (such as the stream title and ID). This content is processed on my own server.
2. How the information is used
- Authorization tokens are used solely to upload videos to my own YouTube channel and to verify that each upload succeeded.
- Recorded media is used solely to produce the final video that is uploaded.
- Data is not used for advertising, profiling, analytics, or any other purpose.
3. Storage and security
Authorization tokens and configuration are stored on a private server that I control, in files readable only by the service account that runs the application. Recorded media is stored temporarily on the same server and is deleted after YouTube confirms that the upload succeeded. Tokens are not logged.
4. Sharing
I do not sell, rent, share, or transfer Google user data to any third party. The only recipient of uploaded content is YouTube, through the YouTube Data API, on my own account.
5. Google API Services User Data Policy
The application's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
6. YouTube API Services
The application uses YouTube API Services. By using it, you are bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
7. Revoking access and deleting data
Access can be revoked at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Removing the application there invalidates the stored tokens. Stored tokens and any remaining temporary files can also be deleted by removing them from the server.
8. Website visitors
This website is static. It does not use cookies, analytics, advertising, or forms, and it does not collect personal information from visitors.
9. Children
The application is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from them.
10. Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when it last changed.
